Basidien: in der Regel ohne (gelblich-)braunes Pigment

Cheilozystiden: meist dickwandig, mit Kristallschopf oder amorphen Kappen (Metuloide)

Pleurozystiden: bei den meisten Arten vorhanden; nur bei einigen wenigen Arten sind Pleurozystiden spärlich vorhanden oder sie fehlen ganz

Stiel: nur oben oder bis weiter unten oder ganz bereift, mit metuloiden oder dünnwandigen Zystiiden.

Geruch: oft mehr oder weniger intensiv spermatisch

Cheilocystidia: mostly thick-walled and with crystals or with amorphous caps

Smell: often more or less spermatic
