• Hut bis ca. 5 cm
• Hutfarbe braun; zum Rand hin teilweise heller
• Hutoberfläche feinfaserig rimos oder eingewachsen faserig, mit divergierenden Fasern
• Stiel ganz bereift, Basis verdickt bis knollig
• Sporen glatt, 5.9–9.5 x 3.7–5.0 µm, av. 7.3 x  4.3 µm
• Hymenialzystiden meist subfusiform oder (sub)utriform, Pleurozystiden 36–79 x 11–24 µm, av. 56 x 15 µm, Wände bis 1.5 (2.0), schwache Reaktion mit KOH
• Habitat mit Laubbäumen, vor allem Quercus, oft in Parks etc., auf basischem Boden
